Only one district is recognized each year with this award across the entire state. The District of Excellence Award is presented to school districts that demonstrate outstanding commitment to the effective implementation of multiple Imagine Learning programs throughout the year. Based on rigorous research, Imagine Learning has found that meeting program usage and implementation goals is directly associated with increased student success and academic growth. Yakima School District currently uses Imagine Math (used at 9 elementary schools across the district) and Imagine Language & Literacy (available to all elementary multilingual learners in the district).
