Barge-Lincoln and Hoover Elementary schools have collaborated with Soccer for Success (SFS) this spring to promote a healthy lifestyle and soccer skill development. Soccer for Success is the U.S. Soccer's Foundation's innovative youth development program that supports children in urban communities. The students are coached by four building staff members on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:15-4:45 pm. Covid measures are strictly enforced to provide coaches and players safety such as social distancing and mask-wearing at all times. Parents are allowed to spectate from their car or outside the fence to prevent social gatherings.
