School Library Month: Franklin Middle School Book Club
Posted by Ashley LaRiviere on 4/1/2021
Today, we kick off School Library Month with a fun story from our Franklin Middle School Librarian, Mrs. Bromley.
In January, Mrs. Bromley started a book club as a trial run with some of her 6th-grade students. "I really didn't think anyone would sign up, but I was wrong! 13 students signed up," she said.
The students meet every week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday for about 30 minutes. In the beginning, Mrs. Bromley began reading them a book called "Wish" by Barbara O'Connor. Now, they are into their second book called "Eventown" by Corey Ann Haydu and take turns reading passages from the book.
"I have appreciated so much seeing them and interacting with them. The girls have told me they like it too because they miss being all together," Mrs. Bromley shared.
