Despite Challenges, TSA Students Triumph at 2023 National Conference
Despite facing unexpected hurdles, Yakima's Technology Student Association (TSA) delegation showcased their resilience at the 2023 TSA National Conference, making their mark on the national stage.
After a canceled flight that sent most of the delegation back home, three students still made it to the 2023 TSA National Conference. Tod Pham and Joshua Whitney, representing Franklin Middle School, secured an impressive 2nd place in Middle School Structural Engineering. Their achievement is significant considering the event's scale, with over 200 entries this year. Notably, they had clinched 3rd place in the same event at Nationals last year.
Lucy Sullivan, also from Franklin Middle School, captured 3rd place in Middle School Digital Photography. Her success with nearly 200 entries only highlights her skills.
Amalia Pham, a former Franklin student now at Davis High School, embraced her role as a TSA State Officer, adding to the delegation's impact.
Despite facing travel hurdles, Peter Whitney, a Davis High School student and incoming TSA State President, showcased leadership and commitment to his role.
Congratulations to all who made it to Nationals and represented our community!
