From elementary singing to high school orchestra and everything in between, our students are living and loving performing art! Our elementary schools have been presenting concerts for Christmas, Martin Luther King Day and Valentines Day while our middle school and high school's presented winter concerts and prepared for regional competitions. Super shout out to all the hard working music educators in our district!
Congratulations to the amazing and talented students who placed in the Regional Solo and Ensemble Contest sponsored by the Yakima Valley Music Educators Association and WIAA for Winds, Brass and Percussion. AC Davis took the most categories of any school in our region with 7 winner’s total.
Our region starts up in Cle Elum and extends down to Goldendale/White Salmon and as far east as Grandview. The winner from each region goes on to compete in the WMEA/WIAA State Contest in April at CWU. First and second alternates may be called upon if groups from our region or another region cancel due to various factors. GOOD LUCK AT STATE!
