Hi, I'm Howie!
Howie the Border Collie would like to welcome YSD families to the new Health and Wellness Education (HWE) Center! The center is located at 331 N. 1st Street in Yakima. The mission of HWE is to provide YSD families with health guidance and support needed for the educational success of students. Some of the resources HWE will offer include:
- Physical and mental health care
- Case management
- Disease Prevention
- Educational opportunities

The mission of Health and Wellness Education (HWE) is to nurture the growth, development, and educational success of students through culturally responsive physical and mental health care, comprehensive case management, disease prevention, and educational opportunities. With an emphasis on health equity, improved academic outcomes, and key strategic partnerships, HWE supports families with age-appropriate trauma-informed care.
