YSD Classrooms Now Open To Out-Of-District Families
The Yakima School District's kindergarten through 8th grade open enrollment initiative has been approved by our superintendent. This initiative will help us expand educational opportunities and strengthen our YSD community.
Classroom space is now available at nearly all elementary and middle schools for out-of-district families, with the exception of Adams Elementary School, where all classrooms are currently full.
Additionally, we are proud to announce that kindergarten enrollment at all schools, as available, is now open to out-of-district families. This includes our dual language program, as available, at schools with dual language classrooms.

Right At School Before and After School Childcare
We are thrilled to announce that Right At School, a nationally recognized provider of before and after school enrichment programs, will be available at most of our elementary schools for the 2025-2026 school year. This program will offer kindergarten through 5th-grade students engaging activities before school starting at 6:30 a.m. and after school until 6:00 p.m. every day school is in session. Enroll Your Student Online
We are proud to bring electronic enrollment services to the Yakima School District. You are still welcome to enroll your student in person at our enrollment office at 104 N 4th Avenue (or at their school when schools are open/in session).
