Immigration
At Yakima School District, we remain committed to supporting every student, regardless of immigration status. The recent updates to the guidance from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) align closely with our current policies and practices, which prioritize inclusion, safety, and equal access to education.
Interpretation and Translation Services
Your child's education is very important. As the parent/guardian of a Yakima student, you have the right to participate in your child's education, including communicating with teachers and staff about your child.
Language Access
Yakima School District recognizes the importance of effective communication with all parents, regardless of their English proficiency, to experience meaningful and equitable access to District information, programs, services, and engagement. The Yakima School District will provide language assistance services to persons with limited English proficiency free of charge.
