Mariah Cornejo, a Harvard student, returned to her home elementary school to speak with the students.
Mariah Cornejo, a proud Adams Elementary and Eisenhower High School alum, recently returned home to speak to the 4th and 5th graders at Adams. Now a student at Harvard University (the first Yakima School District latina to attend the prestigious school), Mariah isn’t just chasing her dreams – she’s helping others believe they can chase their own while modeling high character to her little sister, who currently attends a YSD school. She reminded Adams students that no matter where you’re from, you can achieve anything.
