Junior Achievement Brings Big Money Lessons to Little Learners
- Elementary
Roosevelt Elementary students recently learned money management and entrepreneurship through Junior Achievement’s fun, hands-on program.
Roosevelt Elementary students learned a useful lesson in financial literacy when Junior Achievement (JA) of Central Washington recently visited the school. These special guests from Wells Fargo led the Junior Achievement program, “JA More than Money,” which introduces students to financial literacy and entrepreneurship. Students played board games and money-themed BINGO, learning the basics of starting a business and making smart money decisions. Throughout the day, they explored key money concepts, like the role money plays in everyday life, the pros and cons of borrowing money, and how global markets impact businesses. They also put on their entrepreneurial hats, brainstorming small business ideas and learning the basic steps to starting a business.
Junior Achievement is a nonprofit organization that works to help young people discover what's possible in their lives by helping them connect what they learn in school with life outside the classroom. Thank you to Junior Achievement for making a meaningful impact on our students’ knowledge of financial literacy!
