Hoover Elementary staff members and community agencies and partners pitched in to bring joy to families in need this season.

Santa paid a special visit to Hoover Elementary families this season, with major help from his elves - Hoover staff and generous community agencies and partners! Thanks to their time, effort, and donations, over 200 students and their families received gifts and support, bringing joy and relief during the winter break.

Santa and his little helpers went above and beyond by personally delivering over 60 presents to students – an act of kindness that was truly appreciated!

“This holiday season, our team and community partners demonstrated incredible care and dedication to supporting families. Their generosity truly made a difference,” shared Hoover Principal Julio Sanchez.

A special thank you to Hoover's dedicated office staff, counselors, teachers, paraeducators, and Community Home Liaison, who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of this effort. Additional gratitude is extended to the Department of Social and Health Services and HLA Engineering and Land Surveying, Inc., whose contributions helped make the holidays brighter for so many.

“HLA proudly serves the Greater Yakima Valley through our civil engineering services,” explained Michael Uhlman, Principal Engineer for HLA Engineering and Land Surveying, Inc. “This holiday season, in partnership with the DCYF, the GivingTree program offered a unique opportunity to extend our commitment to the community. Community involvement remains a core value at HL, and the Giving Tree is a meaningful example of putting that commitment into action.”

Cheers to the Hoover team and all who contributed!
