Ike Traditional Dancers on stage

Hoover Elementary’s Parent Night and Family Learning Fiesta was a resounding success, drawing around 130 attendees who enjoyed delicious food and a program focused on learning, connection, and empowerment.

Families were treated to a vibrant performance by the Ike Traditional Hispanic Dancers, whose colorful costumes and traditional choreography brought energy and cultural celebration to the evening.

Mrs. Revilla delivered an engaging presentation on developing essential life skills, providing families with practical strategies to support their children's personal growth and emotional well-being. Additionally, community organizations conducted informative sessions about important family resources.

The event was only possible thanks to the dedication of our staff members: Mr. Rodriguez, Mrs. Van Amburg, Ms. Harris, Mrs. Torres-Strom, Ms. Escalera, Mrs. Herrera, Mrs. Sanchez, Mrs. Mata, Mr. Carpenter, Ms. Castaneda, Mrs. Klingele, Ms. De Santos, and Ms. Tejeda. Special appreciation goes to Bethel Church and ESD’s 21st Century Program for their continued partnership and support of Hoover's community initiatives.

This story aligns with Goal 2 of our Strategic Plan: all students will develop habits and behaviors that elevate student voice, resilience, and personal ownership in a safe, caring, and supportive environment. To learn more about our strategic plan, visit ysd7.org/strategicplan.
