Davis Vocal Ensembles Stand Out at Competition

Davis High performed with distinction at the State Competition held at Central Washington University.

The Yakima School District is proud to celebrate the exceptional achievements of Davis High School's vocal music students, who represented our district with distinction at the State Solo and Ensemble Contest held at Central Washington University on April 24.

Three large vocal ensembles competed at the state level: a mixed group, a treble ensemble, and a tenor-bass ensemble, alongside a small tenor-bass ensemble, an alto soloist, and a soprano soloist. Their hard work and dedication paid off, earning both Superior and Excellent ratings across their performances.

The Large Mixed Group, which included Logan Ammerman, Eslie de La Cruz Landeras, Lilly Gamache, Lee Gutierrez-Solis, Gretchen Hansen, Rylee Hein, Elizabeth Packard, Shannon Wilmes, Julian Valdez-Gil, Leonel Pina-Gomez, Cristian Romero-Chavez, Huy Tran, Elian Jimenez-Perez, Cameron Luke, Zoey Jones, and Natalie Estrada, earned a Superior score.

The Treble Ensemble and Tenor-Bass Ensemble each received both Superior and Excellent ratings. Members included Logan Ammerman, Eslie de La Cruz-Landeras, Terryn Hewitt, Paris Ochoa, Elizabeth Packard, Zanaya McLin, Valeria Noriz, Shannon Wilmes, Gretchen Hansen, Iliana Hodgins, Lilly Gamache, Lee Gutierrez-Solis, Sanaa Dean, Natalie Estrada, Leo Pina-Gomez, Cristian Romero-Chavez, Julian Valdez-Gil, Cameron Luke, Caden Luke, Zoey Jones, David Analco, Amiri Benitez-Bess, and Huy Tran.

The Yakima School District congratulates each of these students on their outstanding accomplishments. Their commitment to excellence truly reflects the talent and spirit that define our schools, and we are so proud to have them represent us on the state stage.
