As we celebrate recent graduates, we're excited to highlight SchoolLinks for post-high school planning.

In light of celebrating graduations across the Yakima School District, we’re pleased to highlight the district’s exciting partnership with SchoolLinks that began during the school year. SchoolLinks is a cutting-edge college and career planning platform transforming how youth prepare for life after graduation.

Students use SchooLinks to create their High School and Beyond Plan, a personalized roadmap for their futures. The new platform offers career discovery tools that match students' skills and interests with potential career paths, interactive assessments to guide decision-making, and a home base where students can set and track their academic goals.

Recently, staff from Davis and Eisenhower High Schools collaborated in a session that brought together educators, counselors, College & Career Readiness specialists, and administrators. Their goal was to ensure that every student could use SchooLinks to design a meaningful plan, whether they are heading to college, skilled trades, enlisting in the military, or going directly into the workforce.

The team focused on connecting students’ class choices with their long-term goals and helping them see how different Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities align with their interests. This exciting transition allows students to take ownership of their futures.

With SchooLinks helping them envision their future pathways, our students are better equipped to make informed decisions and confidently pursue their chosen paths after graduation. We look forward to providing this incredible tool to our students for years to come.

This story aligns with Goal 5 of our Strategic Plan: all students will successfully navigate the critical transitions in their schooling, and will graduate from high school prepared for college, career, and post-secondary experiences.
