Career and Technical Education Students Compete at SkillsUSA
- High
In March, YSD students competed at the SkillsUSA Washington competition, bringing home multiple finalist awards.
YV-Tech and Eisenhower High School proudly represented our district at the 2025 Washington State Leadership and Skills Conference!
This annual event brings together students from across the state to showcase their skills, creativity, and dedication in a wide range of competitive career and technical education (CTE) events – from hands-on technical challenges to leadership-focused contests. The competition provided students a unique opportunity to demonstrate their expertise and passion within their chosen career pathways.
After a weekend of intense competition, YSD students earned finalist honors in 11 contests, bringing home four 1st place finishes, eight in 2nd place, and five in 3rd place. These students demonstrated excellence and professionalism in their fields, and those who earned gold are eligible to compete at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference in Atlanta this June.
SkillsUSA is a non-profit organization that supports students in CTE programs, preparing them to become skilled professionals and career-ready leaders.
