Students who complete college courses in high school are more likely to go to college than those who don’t. That’s why we created Accelerate ASU – an innovative and flexible way to experience college, in high school. Partnerships with high schools across the country enable students to take college-level courses designed by ASU faculty and aligned with ASU degrees. Once a student has completed a course and is satisfied with the grade, they can add it to their official transcript. Empower students with equitable pathways to higher education at the most formative points in their journeys.

In a collaborative and supportive online learning environment, students make progress on their life goals. In turn, schools facing resourcing constraints don’t need a teacher trained in the specific content areas to offer Accelerate ASU courses. They can now provide a turnkey curriculum from a world-class research university, expanding educational opportunities. High schools select and adapt the model that works best for them. Some weave relevant college courses into their classrooms and offer targeted support, allowing learners to take high school and college courses with no travel required. Other high school partners offer this college-level coursework as an additional opportunity, or alternative to Advanced Placement.

K-12, universities, and industry must work together to cultivate connected opportunities that help aspiring college students transition between high school, a college degree and future economic opportunity. ASU is engaged with schools and employers to create the most seamless onramps possible. There is no application required and credit is widely transferable. High schools choose from payment options tailored to a variety of budgetary needs. Whether it's only paying after the successful completion of a course, or investing upfront, Accelerate ASU makes higher education more accessible and manageable.
