Washington State Immunization Law requires all students attending public schools (preschool - 12th grade) to provide proof of immunization, a medical exemption signed by a physician, or an exemption signed by a parent or legal guardian before entering school.

Summer Sports Physicals

Sports Physical are provided by Yakima Valley Farmworkers Clinic and by appointment only. To schedule an appointment call (509) 864-1428. There is a flat fee of $10.

PK-5

We are thrilled to provide school supply kits for all PK-5 students for the upcoming school year! These kits are tailored to each age group and will be provided to your child at school. 

6-12

At the secondary level, classroom needs can be quite specific. Therefore, your student's teachers will provide a list of required items during the first week of school. We kindly ask for your assistance in supplying these items to ensure your student is well-prepared for their classes.

General Communication

The Yakima School District uses ParentSquare to communicate with all parents and guardians. This includes messages from your child's school and teacher, attendance notifications, conference sign-ups, weather alerts, and more. Visit our ParentSquare webpage to register.

Emergency & Weather Communication

Students who do not have a district-assigned laptop will be provided a laptop at their school during normal school hours. Parents/guardians do not need to be present for their child to receive a laptop. Visit the Student Tech Support page for more information.

We are thrilled to announce that Right At School, a nationally recognized provider of before and after school enrichment programs, will be available at all of our elementary schools for the 2024-2025 school year. This program will offer kindergarten through 5th-grade students engaging activities before school starting at 6:30 a.m. and after school until 6:00 p.m. every day school is in session.
