Capital Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC)

  • The Yakima School District seeks 40 community volunteers to lead and run a Capital Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC). Of those 40 positions, 18 will be appointed community members and 22 will be at-large seats randomly selected from interested members, equally representing the East and West regions of Yakima. If you would like to be considered for one of the 22 "At Large" positions, please complete this form by September 23, 2022. If there is more than one person from your household interested in being selected for the committee, each individual must complete this survey.

    Committee Charge

    • Identify top-priority YSD school facility problems to be solved in Phase 1 of a multi-phase long-range facilities improvement plan
    • Recommend Phase 1 bond plan to the school board by June 2023

In a continued effort to promote transparency and honor the desires of Yakima voters, Yakima School District leadership will only play a supportive and facilitator role in the CFAC.  All committee leadership and decision-making will occur solely through the voices and desires of the 40 CFAC members.
