Chief Legal Counsel Biography

Robert Noe joined Yakima School District as Chief Legal Counsel in 2019, bringing decades of legal experience from his work with municipalities and in private practice. He is YSD’s first in-house attorney, significantly reducing the district’s legal costs and improving the management of public records requests. Robert’s career includes serving as City Attorney for multiple cities in Washington and handling significant land use litigation. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Puget Sound Law School and has dedicated his career to supporting public institutions. Robert is committed to providing timely legal guidance that helps YSD achieve its goals efficiently. He enjoys the opportunity to work directly with the Board on various matters concerning the District. He has been married for over 30 years and has four adult daughters (the youngest are twins) – his three youngest daughters all attended A.C. Davis High School!
