December 7, 2023 Update

This project is a significant milestone for our school, reflecting our commitment to providing the best facilities for our students and community.

First, the installation of stage equipment is progressing well, with most items in place. We are awaiting a few lifts and cabling, expected by late December, to complete this phase. The stair lifts, vital for accessibility, are installed and operational. Training on their use will be provided at the project's completion.

The upstairs bathrooms are nearing completion, requiring only some final touches. In the main entry and grand entry, the lighting and wood ceilings have been beautifully installed, enhancing these spaces' aesthetics. Our team is also meticulously refurbishing the old auditorium lights, preserving a piece of our history.

We encountered some challenges with the sheetrock work behind the art deco-style false windows and in the grand entry. Rest assured, these are being rectified to meet our high standards. Similarly, the main level bathrooms are undergoing corrections due to initial flooring and drainage issues.

The auditorium's safety features are being enhanced with the addition of catwalks, set for installation in late December. I am also thrilled to announce that all seating is now installed, offering comfort and a great view from every angle!

The auditorium's roofing and new drainage system are complete, marking a significant milestone in this project.

Lastly, the concrete work near the main entrance is progressing well, including the innovative “in-slab heating” system near the KIVA.

We appreciate your patience and support as we work towards completing this vital project. The newly remodeled auditorium will not only enhance our school's aesthetic but also enrich the educational and cultural experiences of our students.
