Family Night with STEAM @ Roosevelt
Posted by Dr. Andie Webb on 2/6/2023Congratulations to Roosevelt Elementary and STEAM specialist Amae Merrill for a fantastic and successful family night with STEAM! Over 500 students and their families experienced animal skulls and pelts, built rockets and paper chains, designed frames with marshmallows and spaghetti, learned about healthy teeth and salmon, got to code and make slime. If your elementary school would like to do a STEAM night, your STEAM specialist can make it real! Huge shout out to Roosevelt staff who all jumped in to present and support and Kudos to first year principal Cheryl Jordan who was a fantastic support!

Nob Hill Students Win National Imagine Learning Awards
Posted by Ari Vazquez on 2/6/2023Nob Hill Elementary is excited to announce that students from our school have been identified as
the winners of two national awards from Imagine Learning. First grader, Wesner Nelson, was
selected as one of 10 students nationwide to win a contest for his dedicated math work during the
month of December. We are so proud of Wes for passing 40 math lessons in December, which is
equivalent to over one year's worth of work. Wes earned a Kindle Fire, a Solar Charging
backpack, and a framed certificate. Wes was honored at The Hill's celebration assembly on
February 3rd. When he received his awards, he told his principal, "This is the best day of my
life"Also honored at The Hill's celebration assembly was Mrs. Suhm's first-grade class. Mrs. Suhm’s
class worked together as a team to win an Imagine Learning award in the "1, 2, 3, Count With
Me" national math contest for successfully earning 100+ learning tokens within the first 100
days of school. Mrs. Suhm's class will be awarded a gift card of their choice for
a class celebration from one of the following: Amazon, Pizza Hut, Papa John, or Dominos.
Keep up the great work, Nighthawks!
